Rivers and ravines

Local Inner Islands hydrography shapefiles (Riversdd, ravines) rasterized onto the twin surface grid as cell masks (same approach as Roads). Refresh with python ingest_hydrography.py --all-processed. Display colouring only - they do not replace Copernicus elevation.

Mahé soils

Local Mahé soil survey polygons (Soils/soil.shp), categorized by ECOLE_CODE and rasterized onto the twin surface grid. Code 99 (No Information) is left unpainted. Refresh with python ingest_soils.py --all-processed.

Roads

Ground traffic

Anonymous mobile GPS probes from Influx bucket SDI_GroundTraffic (measurement traffic_probe), map-matched onto road cells. Congestion index C = 1 − v_obs / v_free (0 free-flow … 1 jammed). Requires a read token on that bucket. Rebuild free-flow baselines with python -m live.ground_traffic freeflow --region mahe.

Coral Reef Habitat and Shallow Bathymetry

Allen Coral Atlas v2.0 geomorphic zonation, benthic habitat and reef extent (5 m source), plus downloadable satellite-derived shallow-water bathymetry (10 m source). Categorical products are nearest-neighbour reprojected onto the twin surface grid; depth is stored in metres. ACA Seagrass (benthic map) is exclusive class 14. ACA Seagrass (Extent 2023-2024) is the separate Seagrass Extent presence product (aca_seagrass_extent; python ingest_aca.py --seagrass-extent). Source imagery vintage 2018-2020 (Extent: 2023-2024). Aircraft

Flightradar24 Live flight positions (light) within the selected region. Responses are cached (~3 min) to respect the monthly API credit budget (6 credits per returned flight). The layer shows heading cones at Now; scrubbing the UTC clock shows as-of positions (same cones). Full historical tracks are only drawn when requested via chat/MCP.

Vessels (AIS)

Live AIS positions pushed as NMEA AIVDM/AIVDO to the live runtime (TCP and UDP, default port 3050). Share DAN01’s Tailscale IP plus that port with the provider. No cloud AIS API round-trip - locally ingested, shown on the Vessels layer.

Turtle tracking (InfluxDB)

OceanLabs InfluxDB bucket SDI_TurtleTracking / measurement turtle_position. Archive Argos Excel ingest (python -m live.turtle_tracks ingest); as-of markers scrub with the time rail; chat/MCP show_turtle_tracks draws polylines (one colour per tag id). Each fix draws a translucent accuracy circle from Argos LC (3/2/1/0/A/B/Z). Optional High accuracy only (LC 1–3) hides LC 0/A/B/Z. Layer: Marine → Marine life → Turtle tracking.

Species sightings (iNaturalist)

Public research-grade observations from iNaturalist, searched by scientific or common name inside the open region. Only records with a public exact location are drawn. Threatened taxa are published as a random point in a large cell and are omitted. A pin opens the observation page. Photos stay on iNaturalist. Observations stay © their observers (often CC BY-NC). Layers: Marine → Marine life → Species sightings and Terrestrial → Terrestrial life → Species sightings. The viewer asks iNaturalist; the browser does not.

Aquaculture ADZs (SI 116/2024)

Seychelles Fisheries (Designation of Aquaculture Development Zones) Regulations, 2024 — Schedule 2 WGS84 coordinates (data/reference/adz_si116_2024.geojson). Vertical translucent zone walls with diffuse tops; ID label at centroid. Layer: Marine → Blue economy → Aquaculture ADZs. Unvalidated legal-boundary overlay.
